JRCC Victoria - Virtual Tour
As promised, the virtual tour of the Victoria Joint Rescue Coordination Centre is now available on-line. Since the day I started volunteering with the CCGA Iīve wanted to visit this place - the actual visit was amazing. We were given a full tour by the controlers and even runited with John Paliser (Superintendant of SAR) whom we had met at ISAR Back in October. It is a pretty amazing place - but they have a pretty amazing job - tracking and coordinating ALL air and marine SAR incidents in the Pacific. Pretty much everything happening with the CCG and the CCGA from SAR to simple vessel movement reports comes through here. When an incident occurs they task resources and coordinate the rescue effort.
Since we were visiting in January it wasnīt too busy - but in Summer it can be pretty wild.
Enjoy this unique opertunity to take a glimpse inside JRCC Victoria
I would be happy to answer questions if you want to know more About something you see inside (weīll Iīll try anyway)
