To Boat or Not To Boat

Everything we have heard from Zodiac indicates that it´s all ready to go. So at 7am (they work from EST) our "New Vessel Committee Chair" is going to give them a call, and if it´s a go - we´re off on the ferry to the factory.
Our unit has been in dire need of a new vessel for About 3 years - and fundraising frantically to get the $160K necessary to Purchase one. We´re still not quite there - but in part through some financing from Zodiac and the promise of a bail-out from local supporters we went Ahead with the order early this year.

The vessel was completed on Aug 9th and Zodiac completed their sea trials last week - so we should be good to go!

The new vessel is a Zodiac Hurricane 753 (a fairly new addition to their Line) based on the 733 (what we have now) it has a built in Transom (rather then a bolt-on) and is slightly longer. Our new vessel is powered by twin 175Hp Mercury Outboards and the new e-series Raymarine electronics.

Assuming we are going to experience this new vessel later today - I´ll post some photos then. For now you´ll have to make do with the "under construction" photos from About 3 weeks ago.
