All Hands to the Chart Table

New Navigation Tools
New Navigation Tools
With the TC exam date looming ever closed Iīve started into mad-study mode. Chart work is first on Sept 15th (wish me luck) so I also decided that this was a good time to get new instruments - I now have a small Navigation pack with good Chart pencils, solar calculator (with battery backup) and good erasers - and the latest addition - a popper 18" set of || rules and 8" single handed dividers (something Iīve wanted for ages) I splurged and got the set that comes in the wooden case so that I can carry them around without risking damage.

Tools in hand, both Kellei and I are practising plotting, laying off bearings, and courses, correcting for Compass error, and dealing with Set and Drift. It is kinda nice though, as every bit of studying we do for the TC exam doubles as study for ISAR - which is only 2 weeks away!

(so much seamanship - so little time!)

In other news that web stats module that kept me away from the blog the day before yesterday is going strong - collecting stats for this and About 3 other test sites.

I was kinda surprised to see how many visits Iīm getting from the MSN search engine bot (over 288 in a single day) not that Iīm complaining, the search engines can index to their hearts content as far as Iīm concerned.

PS: For those that asked - Iīm pretty much over my flu - just a bit of scratchy caugh left - but my energy level is Back - thank goodness!
