I have a kid on the Grace right now, so at the risk of being a "helicopter Parent" I have been trying to follow the vessel tack.

So far there is one valid position, the dock at Port Hardy and one suspect position, the 52 steps in Uclulet with a dat tath requires time travel.

Does the vessel need internet to update the log and so it might be a bit of a wait unless they pull into Winter Harbour of Tofino or some other burg of enough size to offer wifi.

Or can the vessel update by HF radio satelite phone or something else?

I'm not panicing, just curious, and a bit of a fan of techno trickery
