Your Definition of Hull Speed
Dear Sir:
I enjoy your glossary, and in fact you cleared up my confusin between a Bark and a Barquentine. However, I beleive you have a typo in your definition of Hull Speed. You have defined Hull Speed as 1.34 times the Length at the Water Line (LWL). Is it not 1.34 times the square root of the LWL? Thank you for all you do, Fred Young |
