Deck Building

Day 1
Day 1
We finally have tucked into building the Deck - the result of our "Deck and Fence Fund" wedding gifts. We have been working since Friday and itīs slow going - but weīre making good progress...

We are basically covering over existing exposed aggregate with cedar decking. The completed Deck will also replace a Deck in the Back of our house and extend the same About 40ī (eliminating About 400sqf of grass - a big part of the reason for all of this)

So far weīre basically taking full advantage of the sunny weather and blitzing on this project. Weīre staining each Board individually before fitting it into place, so itīs taking it a while but itīs worth it.

Last night was probably the most rewarding as we enjoyed the first steaks from the new Natural Gas BBQ (see photos) - Next up, tearing down the old Deck in the Back and Starting to build the structure for the new larger Deck there.
