Please help us gather navigation data!
We need your help.

Now that the International Vessel Tracking System (Track-Nav) has reached beta status, weīd like some real data to enter.  Anyone that has navigation data for an ocean voyage, please consider sharing it with us.

We are particularly interested in famous voyages like:
- Columbus
- Vancouver
- Cook
- Slocum
- Graham

Though we also would love well-known fictional accounts such as:
- Aubrey/Maturin
- Hornblower

At a minimum, we need a list containing lat, long, date, and time.  Of course, any additional information appearing in the log (weather conditions, bearing, speed, ships business, etc) would be a bonus :-)

We prefer to get the data in a simple text format.  Each line of the file should be a single log entry with each piece of info separated by a comma.  Any additional info should go at the end of the line.

example: lat,long,date,time

If you donīt have the positions in that format... well, weīll take what we can get! Please send the data in whatever format you have and we will convert it.  Try to be consistent though (eg, have all the dates written the  same way).

Also, please give your username (or real name if you want), and the source of the data.  We will credit you and your source where possible.

Submit data to: info@bosunsmate.org
